The Betting Pool: Fake Gamblin' Our Way To Truth, Justice, and the American Way

As I contemplate the annoying timing of our existence it occurs to me; this world needs a hero. That seems like a big ask. But, perhaps a tiny portion of this world needs a different kind of hero? One that encourages them to fake gamble on some sportsball? THAT seems more attainable.

Am I that hero? The second, less impressive one? I dunno - *looks away* - I did use a semicolon earlier that wasn't necessary and is possibly grammatically incorrect... I guess maybe... Or, - *looks up with a tear in his eye* - maybe I just want to gamble more without losing my house payment.

Welcome to The Betting Pool - 2021 NFL Playoffs Edition! It is simple and fun. It's true, you can look that shit up on Snopes. The rules are below. If you have questions, feel free to contact me. If you would like to keep the angry pixies that dance about the internet far away from your stimulus check, contact me for alternative means of payment.

Here's how it go:

• Each player gets $1000 in fake cash
• You will bet against the spread or the over/under on whichever games you like.
• Lines will be given via a post on this here blog each morning the evening before the games.
• Bet by commenting on that blog post before the game starts. You do not need to register, but make sure we know who you are. (You can practice by commenting on THIS post if you wanna know what that looks like. If you have an issue with commenting, lemme know.)
• You must bet at least $300 each day that games are being held, up to and including the Super Bowl.
• You must NOT bet more than you have, or the bet will be voided and I will curse you and your grandmother for making me do extra sypherin' & figurin'.

A double sawbuck (20 American Dollars) is all you need for a ticket to ride. You are officially IN when I gets yo money. Saturday @ Noon (CST) is the first game & deadline.
